At any one time Saint Francis Hospice's dedicated staff are looking after approximately 700 patients affected by life limiting illness... But the care doesn't stop there, they also provide advice and support to relatives including young children. My Grandaughter Hannah received support from the counselling team and they really helped her come to terms with her emotions. She is doing really well now. Their aim is to alleviate suffering which may be physical, emotional, social and spiritual, in order to give patients the best quality of life possible, however long that life may be. They care for adults of any age, race, sexuality, religion or ethical belief and its all completely free of charge to patients and their families They are the local hospice for Brentwood, West Essex, Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge. They care for patients with any life limiting illness and 84% of their patients have all their care at home. Last year Saint Francis nurses made 5,000 home visits.
